The SimCas continuous casing system was specifically designed to overcome the problems of drilling in soft and lose ground conditions where a stable cased hole is required. The SimCas system achieves this by enabling the DTH drill string and casing to be lowered simultaneously. A DTH hammer, fitted with a one-piece eccentric bit, is used.
